What Does the Bible Say About the Form and Function of Community
After years of insisting I could do my faith alone and community was not necessary, I learned through a variety of trials and shortcomings that my faith and my life suffered as a result of my isolationist point of view. The reality is the Bible NEVER makes a case for the lone-wolf, go-it-alone style faith journey. There may be seasons of our lives that are lonely and lacking community, but as a whole our lives and our faith are enriched in ways that are impossible to accomplish alone. Below is a teaching I delivered at Pursuing Truth Ministries and the corresponding notes. My prayer is that this encourages you to find and maintain community, while challenging you to fill your role within the body YHVH has placed you in. This teaching was delivered at Pursuing Truth Ministries. If you would like to find out more about that ministry click here.
